Using Fluid to Run Stacks
Fluid is a free Mac OS X application that allows you to create Site Specific Browsers (SSBs) so you can run web apps as a separate Cocoa desktop application.
Running Stacks as an SSB has many advantages and we think it excels in this setting. Getting setup is simple.
- Download Fluid from their website.
- Download the
Stacks icon set.
- Open Fluid.
- Enter the URL of your Stacks account (e.g. http://imulus.usestacks.com/)
- Enter a name for your application (we suggest Stacks, of
course).
- Select "Other" for the icon and browse to where you downloaded
stacks.icns
- Press the Create button.
- Launch Stacks and enjoy.
