Alert "assigned-to" user when task is completed by another user

Whenever a task is marked as Completed, a Completed Task Alert is sent to the task creator, but only if that task was assigned to someone else (correct me if I am wrong).

I discovered that tasks can be marked as "Completed" by any user, regardless of who it has been assigned to. It would be nice if the person assigned to the task would also receive a Completed Task Alert if he/she did not complete the task in Stacks. Otherwise they are left wondering where the task could be and have to look for it.

What do you think?

    Hmm..

This is an interesting predicament. From our view it seems unneeded to send an email to the person who actually had the task on their Stack. It's hard to picture a case where a user has a task assigned to them and then has it completed by someone else without knowledge of how the task got done. If this is the case, then it seems the task should never have been on that user's plate to begin with. In our opinion it would be annoying to receive an email for every completed task that occurs on your own Stack. Perhaps we could send an email only if another user completes the task, but then it creates a slight inconstancy on when emails are received and why.

I think we'd rather stick on the side of less annoyance and only provide the person who assigned the task a completed task email notification. After all, they assigned it so they really are the one who needs to know it was done.

    Hopefully this helps clarify.
