Do not add to Task History when saving task without change

When you click on a task, you are taken to a Task window. To close this window, you have two choices (excluding keyboard shortcuts): click the X in the upper-right corner, or click "Save Task" in the lower-right corner.

Would it be difficult to inhibit the Task History from being updated when a user saves a task but actually has done no change to it?

Users tend to use the Save button a lot more than the X after reviewing task details or downloading an attachment.

I see your point. We did it so that the task creator can know when the user was checking in on the task. However, the user could easily just hit the X instead, which makes the point moot. This is something we should probably do to keep the history less cluttered.

To clarify, this has been added to our short-list of easy changes to make. Thanks for pointing it out.
