It would be nice if all tasks had an ID number. It would make it easier to refer to tasks in other systems like timeregistration etc.

In the near future we will be implementing the ability to link directly to a task. The ID number would be in the URL, but not on the task itself. This is because not everyone would use this this.
Down the road perhaps it could be an option to show or hide, although we hate to overcomplicate Stacks with viewstates options.
Hopefully this will solve your stated request.
