Assigning hours to tasks
It would be extremely helpful from a resourcing perspective, to be able to not only assign due dates to tasks -- but the hours associated to each task.

Seconded! Though I would point out that this should not be mandatory, if implemented.

I vote for this as well!

Agreed.
That could be estimated time to complete (or allocated if working to a budget).
But a vital step would be to record the ACTUAL hours when closing the task --- so in effect this becomes a lightweight timesheet application!
Adding some reports for estimated (allocated) versus actual time, per client, or per project would make this app indispensable at our agency.

Good to hear feedback on this. Estimated time of a task along with actual time the task took to complete would be helpful.
The key is finding a nice usable implementation of this in the task view. One that isn't cluttered and also can be ignored for certain (personal or internal) tasks. We've talked a lot about this internally and it is on our radar. That said, it's highly unlikely that this feature will be implemented by launch.

The lack of this feature is becoming a bigger sticking point. It came up again today and I was going to add it as a feature request, forgetting that it was already in the hopper!
