"Due On" Clickable Calendar Months
I really like the time-sensitive feature all tasks must have (with apologies to Nate Vick), but scrolling through calendar months for long-range projects ups the clicks necessary to complete the task, and is a bit tedious. Is it possible to display multiple (i.e., two, preferably three) months simultaneously when the date box is clicked?
For instance, today is Oct. 31, and a task not due today requires an extra click to display the next month. If October, November, and December calendar months were all displayed when the "Due On" box is clicked, it would be one simple click to set a due date of Dec. 12, rather than the current two paginate-clicks, plus one date-click.
Also, the page scrolling could work in three-month cycles: to continue with the above scenario, one "next" arrow click could display January, February, and March This would allow full-year date viewing in four clicks. However, this would likely be a personal preference for people, as some may prefer to see November, December, and January with one click of the "next" arrow.

I hear what Brandon is saying. Tasking out from the last day of the month is a bit more difficult then it would be from the beginning or middle of the month. In addition, I've made the error of being currently on the Oct 31st, then accidentally clicking on Oct 5th thinking I was picking the 5th of November.
It would be interesting if we could always frame the user with 2 weeks previous and 2 weeks ahead. I know this is a PIA but it would be pretty cool to pull off.

Something else that would help, although I'm not sure how doable it is, would be the ability to type in "today" or "next monday" and have it get the date from that.

That, indeed, would be a nifty trick. My first attempt at creating a task resulted in an error, because I typed in "tomorrow". Perhaps it's low-priority, but Dana's suggestion would be pretty cool.

Yeah, while more detailed input detection would be cool (tomorrow, next friday, etc.), it can be a bit tricky and at this time isn't a priority on our list. The calendar selection is our primary focus regarding due dates.
