Audio Sample-less
Account Settings -> Audio: None of the samples play anything when clicked, regardless of whether the check boxes are marked. Laptop audio otherwise working (tested sound on video at ESPN.com).
Firefox 3.5.4
Reproducible in IE 8.0.6001.18702
Win XP Pro 2002, SP3

The audio plug-in requires Flash 8 or higher but it sounds like this is not your problem since ESPN.com works for you.
The way the system works currently is if you have all audio alerts unchecked in the account settings, the audio plug-in on the site will not load. One thing we are working on is to detect if the browser has flash 8 or higher installed, it will load the plug-in. Try check-marking all of the audio alerts, saving, and then refreshing the website. Hopefully, this fixes the problem until we can modify how the account settings plays the sample audio files.
We are using the SoundManager 2 javascript library for audio on the site. You can see if this library works on your machine by visiting:

Box check & save works, and pretty tones come through (no need to check all -- just checking one, saving, and reloading works). It's a bit strange to have to check, save, refresh, and click to preview, though, so, thanks for looking into the auto- detect and load.
Flash version 10.0 r32, FYI
SoundManager 2 Demo Page = good times
Thanks for the help!
